New Allergen Labelling requirements start on 25 February 2024

Are you ready for the new allergen labelling requirements that start on 25 February 2024? If you have not already done so, now is the time to familiarise yourself with the new plain English allergy labelling requirements and enact a plan to make sure all new food labels are fully compliant by 25 February 2024. Levels of existing stock with ‘old’ labelling will also need to be carefully tracked, monitored and phased out of sales points by 25 February 2026.

To help you to understand these new requirements, I have created a short PEAL Guide, available for purchase on Amazon.com.au.

This is also a good time to review your food product labelling, including how your products effectively use health claims to inform consumers and gain market share.

Further professional advice may be required in order to reduce costly recalls and boost consumer confidence in your product.

Food Envy Labelling can assist you to evaluate your food product labels against the Food Standards Code for compliance, and marketing the health benefits of your products.

Please feel free to contact me at Food Envy Labelling if you need any specific guidance. I am happy to help!
